Yes, and that is the best case: clips made with the "Trim video" tool share the exact same format, so they are joined without re-encoding — it takes seconds and keeps 100% of the original quality.
The tool detects it automatically. Videos with a different codec, resolution or orientation are re-encoded to MP4 on the first video's canvas (with black bars when the orientation changes) and the audio is normalized. This path is slower — a few minutes for long videos — and the resolution is capped at 1280 pixels on the longer side.
It does: the silent clip gets a silent audio track so the other clips stay in sync. If none of the videos has sound, the result is muted.
No count limit. The limit is your device's memory, since everything runs in the browser: files adding up to about 500 MB work well on most phones and computers. For bigger videos, compress them first with the "Compress video" tool.
