It works as a basic electronic signature. In the United States, the ESIGN Act and state UETA laws recognize electronic signatures when the parties agreed to do business electronically — and those same laws leave out certain documents, such as wills and some family-law papers. It is not a digital certificate and not a notarization: for anything that needs a notary, a witness or a certificate-based signature, this tool is not suitable. Whether it holds up in your specific case depends on the agreement between the parties and on the law that applies to it — AjustaJá does not assess that and is not responsible for the legal validity of the document.
It is the technical record of the signature: date, time, the IP address it was signed from, and a QR Code linking to the "Validate signature" tool. Without that page, there would be no way to later prove when and by whom the file was signed here.
Tap "+ Signature" for the main signature and "+ Initials" for the other pages, or use "Initial all pages" to stamp every page that has no mark yet. If you typed your name, the initials use your first and last initials; if you drew it, it reuses the same drawing at a smaller size.
The file itself is not — it is signed entirely in your browser. Only its digital fingerprint (a hash, which cannot be reversed into the original content) is sent to the server to timestamp the record and capture the IP address; none of that is stored in any database.
Use the "Validate signature" tool (the QR Code on the final page links straight to it): upload the signed PDF and it checks, with the server, whether the seal matches what AjustaJá would have issued.
